Civil Construction Labourer


Milestone Equipment Contracting Inc is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Civil Construction Labourer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various tasks essential to the successful completion of civil construction projects. This includes but is not limited to, preparing construction sites, operating hand and power tools, handling materials, and supporting other team members as needed. The Civil Construction Labourer will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and organized work environment, adhering to project timelines and specifications, and contributing to the overall success of the project. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, setting up barriers, and ensuring proper signage is in place.
  • Material Handling: Transport and handle construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently as required by the project.
  • Operating Tools: Operate hand and power tools, such as shovels, hammers, and drills, under the guidance of skilled tradespeople.
  • Assisting Tradespeople: Support skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, by providing assistance with tasks as needed.
  • Digging and Excavation: Perform manual labor tasks, including digging trenches, backfilling excavated areas, and leveling surfaces.
  • Construction Support: Assist in the installation of utilities, such as water and sewer lines, and the construction of structures as directed by supervisors.
  • Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized work environment by removing debris, sweeping, and disposing of waste materials.
  • Following Safety Procedures: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Adhering to Instructions: Follow instructions from supervisors and team leaders to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and address any issues or concerns.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
