Job Description

Position Description:

Support the receipt of incoming materials and put away. Ensure timely issuance of materials to production. Participate in all finished goods pack outs as needed. Provide support for Domestic & International shipments of products according to CFIA & recipient country specifications. Initiate and complete all change controls as needed. Support Business Programs & Policies (including quality, HSE).

Functions, Duties, Tasks:

  • Capable of obtaining certification in Transport Canada's Secure Shipper Program
  • Attain certification and execute GMP visual inspection testing of sterile liquid products; requires annual eye exams.
  • Ensure safe and timely import and export of all materials, working with shipping brokers/ freight forwarders and business partners in other countries; track product from shipment to receipt to ensure delivery.
  • Ensure products are packaged for shipping according to GMP guidelines.
  • Responsible for verification of materials received against internal specifications & purchase order requisitions.
  • Ensure timely distribution, delivery, and receipt of materials, coordinating with necessary internal & external functions.
  • Maintain complete & accurate transactions within ERP system.
  • Execute and reconcile inventory cycle counting.
  • Ensure warehouse is appropriately maintained & orderly.
  • Perform daily lift truck & temperature checks.
  • Review and maintain departmental SOPs as well as complete required Quality and Safety documentation (CAPAs, Near Misses, Work Orders, etc.).
  • Periodically work in 2-8C cooler environment.
  • Ability to lift upwards of 60 pounds.
  • Experience and training using forklift and pallet jacks.

Minimum Qualifications (education, experience and/or training, required certifications):

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Advanced education in a related field (College Diploma or Technical Certification) is preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred; ERP systems experience is an asset.
  • Must be able to take efficient approaches to trouble shoot and solve problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Motivation to work independently, as well as in a cooperative manner with others.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE and be able to comply and follow all safety requirements.
  • Good vision with or without corrective lenses.
  • Requires sitting for extended periods and close attention to detail.

Other:

  • Must have the flexibility/ability to work evenings and weekends if the business requires it.
  • Must have the flexibility/ability to work overtime if the business requires it.

Fonctions, devoirs, tâches:

  • Assurer l'importation et l'exportation sûres et opportunes de tous les matériaux, en travaillant avec des courtiers en expédition ou des commissionnaires de transport.
  • S'assurer que les produits sont emballés pour l'expédition conformément aux directives des Bonnes Pratiques de Fabrication (BPF).
  • Responsable de la vérification des matériaux reçus par rapport aux spécifications internes et aux demandes d'achat.
  • Garantir la distribution, la livraison et la réception opportunes des matériaux, en coordination avec les fonctions internes et externes nécessaires.
  • Maintenir des transactions complètes et précises dans le système ERP.
  • S'assurer que l'entrepôt est adéquatement entretenu et en ordre.
  • • Effectuer des vérifications quotidiennes des chariots élévateurs et de la température.
  • • Examiner et maintenir les procédures opérationnelles standard (SOP) du département, ainsi que remplir la documentation obligatoire en matière de qualité et de sécurité (CAPA, presqu'accidents, ordres de travail, etc.).
  • Travailler périodiquement dans un environnement réfrigéré à 2-8 degrés Celsius.
  • Capacité à soulever plus de 60 livres.
  • Expérience et formation dans l'utilisation de chariots élévateurs et de transpalettes.

Qualifications minimales (éducation, expérience et/ou formation, certifications requises) :

  • Diplôme d'études secondaires requis.
