About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead our Enterprise Risk and Business Continuity team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective risk management and business continuity strategies to ensure the smooth operation of our electricity grid and wholesale markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Risk Innovation, Strategy, Performance and Governance
    • Develop and implement enterprise-wide risk frameworks, methodologies, policies, and procedures to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
    • Ensure that our risk management framework incorporates best practices and industry-leading guidance.
    • Evaluate and evolve organizational value from cross-linkages between risk controls, business continuity plans, enterprise business planning, and project portfolio prioritization.
    • Recommend relevant performance measures linked to our strategic objectives and lead the identification of relevant data sources to support Corporate Performance Measure reporting.
  • Risk Identification, Assessment and Reporting
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to identify and mitigate risks.
    • Facilitate operational and project risk assessments on key strategic initiatives and high-visibility projects.
    • Implement innovative and insightful enterprise risk reporting and dashboards to support risk governance and decision-making, including development of risk performance metrics (KPIs).
  • Business Continuity Management
    • Lead the development and implementation of business continuity plans that anticipate, address, and mitigate the effects of business interruptions.
    • Serve as management backup support to the Chairs of the Emergency Preparedness Committee and Emergency Response Teams.
    • Plan, establish agendas, and hold meetings, training exercises, and respond to emergencies.
  • Leadership
    • Deliver future-oriented leadership to anticipate changes in an ambiguous and rapidly evolving environment.
    • Maintain effective customer relationships and create mechanisms for continuous learning and change to achieve desired results within an evolving business context.
    • Provide guidance, training, and coaching to direct reports.
    Requirements
    • University degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
    • At least 8 to 10 years of work experience in risk management, business continuity, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills to sell ideas, drive process innovation, and obtain management buy-in for constructive changes.
    • Relevant knowledge of risk and control frameworks and standards, such as COSO 2017, ISO 31000, ISO 27001, COBIT, and risk assessment practices.
