The University of British Columbia (UBC) invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering.
A brief summary of the position: We seek an exceptional researcher and educator with expertise in biomedical engineering and a strong track record of innovation and collaboration in the field of aging and rehabilitation.
The successful candidate will be a faculty member within the School of Biomedical Engineering, UBC, and a principal investigator at the Centre for Aging SMART, Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute. We are looking for a candidate who can develop a world-class research program in the development of foundational technologies that impact aging in one or more of the following areas:
- Human interfacing devices and sensors
- Biomechanics
- Intelligent assistive technologies
- Robotics
- Imaging
The incumbent will participate in teaching activities of the School, provide mentorship and training to undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate learners, and contribute to the university's service and outreach activities.
