About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Personal Support Worker at Southbridge Care Homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to residents, ensuring their physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual needs are met.
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that promote resident well-being.
- Provide emotional and social support to residents and their families, including palliative care.
- Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in care provision.
Requirements:
- PSW Program Certificate or Diploma that meets the appropriate standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, the National Association of Career Colleges, or the Ontario Community Support Association.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
