The Opportunity:

Port Saint John is seeking a passionate individual for the fulltime permanent position as the Engagement & Sustainability Coordinator. The Engagement & Sustainability Coordinator is part of the Engagement & Sustainability team, working closely with many areas of Port Saint John as a key enabler of our community engagement program. This is an exciting entry level position to start your career with a growing organization and make a huge impact on the Saint John area

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Completion of college diploma or university degree focusing on communication, marketing or related field.
  • Experience in presentation creation and delivery.
  • Able to manage several conflicting priorities at a time
  • Highly organized with a knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of Products
  • Experience working with the Adobe InDesign software program
  • Experience with community engagement would be an asset.
  • Biliguaism is considered an asset

Responsibilities

Your Focus:

  • Support on team administrative duties such as business central and coordinating activities of the department
  • Track departmental KPIs for quarterly reporting
  • Maintain and track the department budget and KPIs for monthly and quarterly reporting budget
  • Provide in-house marketing support of materials for business development and other departments projects, meetings, missions and activities
  • Manage small scale in-house signage and production
  • Provide support for website updates and edits
  • Support with the coordination of the annual premiere event, Port Days, and related key projects and meetings leading into Port Days
  • Coordinate community programming, events, and public tours
  • Coordinate the Community Liaison Committee meetings and maintain related records keeping
  • Executing requirements related to sponsorship
  • Participate in the Sponsorship Committee and lead projects of support where required
  • Liaise directly with groups who receive in-kind venue rentals to provide booking details link, AV, catering information and coordinate any in-site visit requests for prep details for event set up
  • Manage the Complaint tracking and reporting process
  • Support on sustainability and decarbonization initiatives
  • Oversee data collection for greenhouse gas inventory
  • Provide support for sustainability and decarbonization initiatives
