About Our Opportunity

We are in search of Forestry Technicians to participate in programs related to forestry, wildlife, and recreation resource management, as well as public education initiatives.

Primary Accountabilities

You may be involved in various activities such as:

  • Crown Land or Private Land management
  • Monitoring Forest Sustainability Regulations compliance
  • Forest fire prevention and suppression
  • Wildlife studies, biological surveys, and insect/disease surveys
  • Parks operations, property maintenance, and vehicle upkeep
  • Land administration
  • Public education and liaison tasks
Qualifications and Experience

Successful candidates must possess a recognized two-year forestry or related Natural Resources Technical Diploma. They should also have knowledge and experience in wildlife and forest management, fire prevention, public education, and occupational health & safety. Strong communication skills, crisis management abilities, and familiarity with GPS systems are essential.

  • Certifications in firearms safety, hunting, and related courses are advantageous
Working Conditions

Expect a blend of office and outdoor work, with potential exposure to varying weather conditions. Candidates must be physically capable of handling equipment, working irregular hours, and traveling over rough terrain.

Pay Grade: TE 16 - TE 25

Salary Range: $1, $2,899.62 Bi-Weekly
