Education Assistant - Special Education
Join our team at School District No. 48 (Sea to Sky) as an Education Assistant - Special Education. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support students with physical disabilities, chronic health impairments, intellectual disabilities, and/or social, emotional, and behavioral problems.
About the Role:- Provide assistance to students under the direction of the Principal(s) and general supervision of the Classroom Teacher(s)
- Support the achievement of stated program goals and objectives
- Work collaboratively with the education team to develop and implement individualized plans for students
- Completion of Grade 12 plus a special program (e.g. Capilano University Education Assistant Program)
- Over six (6) months up to and including one (1) year's related experience
- Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License
- Knowledge of basic First Aid
- Basic knowledge of related learning tools (e.g. computers, etc.)
- A competitive hourly rate of $33.69/hour (Education Assistant) and $31.49/hour (Supervision)
