The SCM Assets team is the AWS supply chain's source of truth on all cloud computing assets owned by AWS.

Asset Master provides a complete and accurate accounting to finance and secured supply chain on each asset from arrival to disposal.

Asset Master supports assets tracking, break-fix and retirement globally.


We are looking for experienced engineers who are excited about building industry leading, next generation SCM systems for the AWS cloud on the AWS cloud.

You will be part of the team that architects, designs, and implements highly scalable distributed systems that provide availability, scalability and latency guarantees.

This is a hands on position where you will be asked to do everything from building rock-solid software components to mentoring other engineers.

You need to not only be a top software developer with a good track record of delivering, but also excel in communication, leadership and customer focus.

This is a unique and rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor and help shape the cloud WMS and SCM technology, product and business.

A successful candidate will bring deep technical and software expertise and ability to work within a fast moving, startup environment in a large company to deliver solid code that has a broad business impact.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of noninternship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.

Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
