About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maintenance Inventory Controller to join our team at Canadian Tire Corporation. As a key member of our Maintenance Stores Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our inventory management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the MRO inventory through the CMMS inventory and purchasing modules, ensuring accurate data and optimal inventory levels.
- Procure necessary inventory and replacement parts to meet min/max guidelines, project, and planned work requirements in a cost-effective and quality manner.
- Monitor and maintain inventory supplier contracts to agreed vendor performance levels, including EDI, preferred vendor, and blanket order arrangements.
- Conduct ongoing ABC analysis of MRO inventory and provide recommendations for necessary changes.
- Ensure the integrity of CMMS data within your given level of security, maintaining accurate pricing, vendor files, and location information.
- Receive and process incoming shipments, documenting receivables, payables, and maintaining files for all transactions.
- Restock shelves daily and assist in quotations for W.O., projects, and retrofits.
- Create new part records and maintain the parts identification system, ensuring accurate transaction history.
- Monitor and update the bar code labeling system to ensure accuracy.
- Perform inventory audits (cycle counts) as required to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Maintain confidentiality for all business plans and activities.
- Monitor remote parts cribs, including mobile inventory management.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external contacts, maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
- Create Purchase Orders in Maximo and COUPA.
Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills and computer proficiency with working knowledge of CMMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
- Self-motivated individual who works well with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance techniques on work order flow and work order backlog.
- Excellent communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in production inventory management.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience within production/inventory, with experience in high-paced distribution centers preferred.
- Able to rely on judgment and experience to plan and accomplish goals.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm.
