Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Pan Am Clinic. As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Recent experience in emergency nursing, preferably in a critical care setting.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingualism (English/French) or proficiency in an Indigenous language.
  • Experience with emergency nursing orientation and training programs.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to healthcare and patient care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
