Operations Consultant Job Description

Join our team as an Operations Consultant and contribute to maintaining stockroom organization and merchandise updates in a fast-paced retail environment.

Job Summary

The Operations Consultant works in partnership with the Operations Supervisor to ensure seamless store operations, providing excellent client service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional client service during store business hours, responding to client inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist in training cashiers and consultants on Point-Of-Sale (POS) and MPOS systems.
  • Maintain standards of cleanliness and organization within the cashier zone, adhering to company standards.
  • Be aware of and assist in maintaining SEPHORA's merchandising concepts, ensuring a visually appealing store environment.
  • Participate in programs to reduce shortage/loss, communicating inventory issues to Supervisors and Assistant Managers.
  • Perform shipment receipt and processing in a timely manner, organizing and maintaining stockroom per company standards.
  • Process transfers, damages, and testers per company standards, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Check in all visual elements, communicating missing/damaged pieces to Operations Supervisor.
  • Ensure safety and tidiness standards are respected and maintained at all times.
  • Communicate inventory issues/concerns to Supervisors, Assistant Managers, or Store Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with sampling policies and procedures.
  • Participate in inventory control, maintaining accurate records and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Designated consultants will be cross-trained in cashier functions, enhancing their skills and versatility.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of retail/client service industry experience, preferably in a stockroom capacity.
  • Possess good computer, arithmetic, and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Effective time management, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • A High School graduate or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and computer skills.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required to meet business needs.
