Job Description

The TRR is responsible for providing essential data that allows customers and internal stakeholders to make informed decisions about railcar inventory management. This involves working with sophisticated computer systems to report train and railcar movements accurately and on time.

Main Responsibilities
  • Use computer systems to provide accurate and timely reporting of train or railcar movements
  • Provide work orders and movement instructions for train crews and other Operational personnel
  • Work with Service Delivery to protect service and resolve issues
  • Communicate with internal parties regarding reporting issues and service exceptions
  • Update various logs, forms, and systems as required
Working Conditions
  • Standard working conditions in an office environment
  • Shift work, including day, afternoon, night, and weekend shifts
  • On-call schedule with shift assignments based on seniority
  • Teamwork-oriented environment with an emphasis on proactive and forward-thinking behavior
  • Fast-paced and demanding work environment with multiple time constraints and activities
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional or customer-orientated environment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal communication, reading comprehension, and writing skills in English and French
  • Strong typing skills and accuracy, including experience with Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong knowledge of navigating operating systems, email, and internet proficiency
  • Highly organized and proactive with a strong sense of responsibility
Training and Development

TRRs complete classroom training on CN's rules, policies, procedures, and safety measures. They also receive in-depth training on CN's tools and systems to ensure success in their role.
