As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring proper credit from all vendor partners and controlling inventory through proper merchandise handling procedures. You will also provide exceptional customer service to vendor partners, associates, and customers while on the sales floor.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in shrink prevention by scanning all damaged and stolen merchandise in a timely manner.
- Maintain all up-to-date returns, vendor return requests, recalls, paperwork, packing, and shipping, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner and within company guidelines.
- Handle all SORT and Global Donation Merchandise.
- Ensure safety practices are being followed continuously, including proper disposal of chemicals, cleanliness of the claims area, and proper ladder usage and lifting techniques.
- Monitor merchandise being returned through claims and protect assets by ascertaining proper process and handling in regard to shrink, in order to keep charge backs to a minimum.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge about company policies, guidelines, and processes regarding the handling of damaged and recalled merchandise.
- Ensure that the Return Manual is being followed through keeping claims current, keeping charge backs to a minimum, and ensuring Vendor Return Request Forms are completed for all claims over 45 days old.
- Complete all GM CVP (Customer Value Program) tasks.
- Provide support to Office Support Associate (OSA) and Direct Store Delivery Associate as required.
