The Supply Chain Planning & Purchasing Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our North American Duty Free operations. This position is responsible for proactive inventory planning, purchasing, and replenishment to meet the demands of our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Inventory Planning & Forecasting: Analyze and manage SAP's Forecast & Replenishment (F&R) module to ensure accurate inventory levels and quality.
- Purchasing & Replenishment: Execute continuous review, analysis, and alignment between Operations' sales forecasts and F&R's demand projections.
- Purchase Order Management: Manage purchase orders and PO tracking, including vendor performance and fill rates.
- Annual Budgeting & Inventory Management: Participate in annual budgeting and quarterly distressed inventory exercises.
- New Operations Planning: Collaborate with Operations, category, and brands to ensure opening stock arrives on time and coordinates with vendors.
- Stock Merchandising: Collaborate with Operations and category teams for initial stock merchandising.
- Inventory Management Reporting: Utilize Power BI (Dufry Insights) KPI/reporting for proactive inventory management.
- Stock Level Monitoring: Collaborate with store Operations teams to monitor stock levels of key/top sellers.
- Replenishment Parameters: Review, update, and maintain store replenishment parameters (Target Stock and Re-Order Point).
- Inventory Exit Strategies: Identify product assortment concerns and drive discussions and actions on inventory exit strategies.
- RTVs/Destructions: Facilitate the processing of RTVs/Destructions by coordinating with Operations, Warehouse, and Finance teams.
- Digital Initiatives: Contribute to the on-going success and implementation of digital initiatives.
The Supply Chain Planning & Purchasing Specialist reports to the Country Supply Chain Planning and Purchasing Manager.

- Education and Experience: The combination of education and professional experience must exceed 5 years.
- In a technical role: Requires 3-5 years of Supply Chain and Logistics planning experience.
- In the industry: 3-5 years of Hospitality, F&B, and/or Retail experience.
- Specialized Skillset/Competencies/Traits:
- Experience using Merchandising/ERP systems – SAP preferred.
- Excellent Excel skills and proficiency in the MS Office suite and Power BI experience an asset.
- Business acumen and the mindset required to understand the long-term implications of Supply Chain and Logistics planning.
The Supply Chain Planning & Purchasing Specialist will be based at the Toronto Centre of Excellence.
