Job Description

The High Voltage Subsystem validation engineer will be responsible for developing and validating Electrified Powertrain High Voltage Safety features across vehicle platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize subsystem level design validation plan (DVP)
  • Perform design validation (DV) on HV features and strategies on system benches and in vehicles
  • Ensure validation activities meet the program timing
  • Analyze validation results and engage team members on issue resolution
  • Develop HV system development properties: Subsystem bucks, tools, procedures
  • Prepare the validation report
  • Track and submit validation issues on the tracking tool
  • Repeat validation process on multiple SW releases throughout the program
  • Support the development of vehicle and supplier component high voltage specifications
  • Perform lesson learned and optimize existing process, tools, safety feature, and strategy
  • Problem-solving at vehicle, system, component, hardware, software, and tool level
  • Perform and train first run/triage/garage and plant on HV safety check out
  • Support compliance testing activities
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Applied Physics, Systems, or Computer Engineering, or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited or ABET equivalent university
  • Knowledge in product engineering design and development, with emphasis on systems and product development
  • Understand real-time systems, hardware, and software
  • Understand regulatory requirements, industry standards, and recommended practices
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Coordinate activities with cross-functional teams

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree, school projects pertaining to electrified vehicles, great knowledge of electrification technology, functionality, and features on the system level, high voltage safety experience, and knowledge on Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) requirements.

This position requires working onsite for 5 days a week, 8 hours per day during normal working hours. It is a permanent and full-time position. We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply.
