We're seeking a Pool Services Worker to join our team at the Bonsor Recreation Complex, Edmonds Community Centre, or Eilleen Dailly Leisure Pool & Fitness Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing equipment checks and adjustments to ensure the effective operation of the facility
  • Managing water quality through the operation of pumps, valves, gauges, chlorinators, and other equipment
  • Conducting routine inspections and maintenance of filtration systems, boilers, and related pool equipment
  • Assisting with janitorial and custodial duties to maintain a clean and sanitary environment
  • Engaging with the public to answer inquiries and provide information and assistance as required

Qualifications include:

  • Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by technical training and sound related experience in the operation and maintenance of aquatic facility equipment
  • Considerable knowledge of operating procedures of water heating, boiling, filtration, and chlorination equipment
  • Working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems, as well as occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Ability to understand and follow routine oral and written instructions, work with minimal supervision, and deal courteously with staff, patrons, and user groups

A valid Pool Operator Level 1 Certificate is required. This is an auxiliary position with hours of work dependent on operational requirements. Available shifts include morning, afternoon, and graveyard shifts, 7 days a week.
