About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team at Southbridge Care Homes. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout our client's home.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform daily cleaning and disinfecting tasks in assigned work areas, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  2. Collect and sort laundry, following specific instructions for treatment of soiled linens.
  3. Operate laundry facilities and equipment, reporting any malfunctions to the Supervisor.
  4. Ensure the privacy of residents during performance of duties.
  5. Adhere to established company policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, fire, and safety.
  6. Perform outside work as required, including removal of light snow, sanding, and salting.
  7. Cooperate with other departments in tasks such as transferring residents, moving and storing supplies, furniture, and equipment.
Requirements
  • Considerable lifting, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crouching, moving equipment, and climbing ladders.
  • Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to read and write English and follow simple written and verbal instructions in English.
