About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at Southbridge Owen Sound. As an RPN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of life for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care to residents, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and providing wound care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices.
  • Provide education and support to residents, families, and staff on various topics, including health promotion, disease prevention, and management.
Requirements:
  • Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Registration/eligible for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
  • Previous experience in long-term care, with a strong understanding of gerontological nursing principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of productivity.
