Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain our MongoDB databases, ensuring they meet the required performance, security, and scalability standards.
  • Work closely with our offshore team to ensure smooth transition of work and handover.
  • Provide hands-on experience and guidance to the team on resolving configuration and performance issues.
  • Support MySQL and PostgreSQL in addition to MongoDB.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure redundancy and high availability of our MongoDB databases.
  • Collaborate with the team to plan and execute strategic database activities, including resolution of complex issues.
  • Implement and manage MongoDB Atlas, ensuring its optimal performance and security.
Requirements
  • At least 2+ years of experience as a manager and 8+ years of senior DBA position working with MongoDB technology.
  • Experience with managing medium-sized teams of 4 to 10 DBAs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conceptualize and reason complex problems.
  • Knowledge of audit, security, and encryption at rest.
  • Hands-on experience with MongoDB installation and configuration, including Docker MongoDB Images on Linux Box.
  • Experience in implementing multi-data center replica sets and sharded clusters in Linux and Windows environments.
  • Ops Manager: implementation, monitoring, backup, and automation.
