About the Role
The Budget Analyst is a key member of the SFU Finance team, responsible for:
- Designing and developing sound budgetary processes across the university
- Monitoring and projecting financial activities
- Developing reports to highlight issues and increase transparency
- Triaging budget support activities
- Developing projections and models to support accurate forecasts and budgets
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing effective business relationships with key clients
- Staying current on financial issues and business changes in the portfolios
- Communicating and training clients on budgeting best practices and systems
- Conducting operational and maintenance activities related to the Hyperion system
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Commerce
- Professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA)
- Five years of related experience in budgeting, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
