About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Analyst, Receivables Management, to join our team at CPKC. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely collection of all amounts due under customer contracts while maintaining a strong client relationship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and collect past due receivables, maintaining confidentiality and protecting CPKC's financial position
  • Adhere to daily targets and departmental objectives, driving process improvements and implementing solutions
  • Investigate, validate, and resolve account discrepancies and disputes, working with internal and external customers
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, providing subject matter expertise and support functions
  • Strategically manage multiple escalated accounts and a non-escalated portfolio, drilling down to the root cause to resolve complex issues
  • Develop business cases to support account resolution and drive process improvements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration from an accredited university or college
  • Two years of experience in collections, customer service, or related roles, with collections experience preferred
  • Railroad or transportation experience is an asset
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, with SAP system (ECC & S4) knowledge an asset
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
