Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Compass Canada. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food products in accordance with our corporate standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook food products to meet quality and quantity standards.
  • Ensure that all food products are stored and rotated properly to maintain freshness and quality.
  • Communicate effectively with other operational departments to ensure seamless service.
  • Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the supervisor immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a restaurant cook or prep cook.
  • Food Safety Certification required.
  • Certificate from a recognized cooking school is an asset.
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
  • Familiarity with industry's best practices.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
