Dycor Technologies is currently seeking a full-time permanent Systems Engineer to work in Edmonton, AB.

Work Conditions:
Monday to Thursday, with every Friday off
36 hour work week

Qualifications:

5+ years engineering experience in industrial electrical systems.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognized University
Eligible for Registration with APEGA.
Hands-on field experience in troubleshooting electronic systems.

Experience with regulatory standards for industrial electronic products, including CSA/UL, hazardous locations, FCC/CE, ATEX, IECEx and other international standards.

Experience in proposal preparation.

Knowledge of electronic integrated circuits design, embedded circuits design and experience using Altium PCB design software is an asset.

Time management skills are required to work on multiple projects of various size and scope.

Responsibilities:

Design and review of electronic/mechanical instruments, small scale electrical and instrumentation packages for oil and gas environment developed and manufactured by Dycor.

Design, layout, and prototyping of electronic instruments for field/industrial environments.

Oversee internal and formal third-party regulatory tests and ensures all products meet functional and regulatory requirements for their intended environment.

Develops new electronic devices and control products that complement Dycor product lines.
Provides technical assistance to solve manufacturing concerns of electronic devices, small scale electrical and integrated packaged systems.
The overseeing/direction of technical documentation of electronic devices and systems.

Ensures that drawings, work instructions and other published works are in accordance with relevant Dycor Engineering and industry standards and HSE requirements.


Duties Include:

Provides specialist level technical product support to internal departments and customers on electronic systems and small scale electrical integrated packages designed and supported by Dycor.

Prepares technical documents and schematics for electronic systems and small scale electrical integrated packages to support procurement and manufacturing.

Coordinates design activities and maintains design files.
Technical liaison with vendors including approval of fit for purpose on 3rd party supplied equipment.
Rationalization of existing products and interfaces.
Manages and performs testing of new electronic systems and projects.
Supports the sales department on quotes and tenders for integrated packaged systems.
Approves engineering drawings, calculations and documents related to design activities.
