Job Summary

If you were to become an Environmental Services Supervisor with us, here's what we'll need you to do:

  • Implement and conduct training sessions while coordinating an annual training calendar for housekeeping and laundry staff on-site.
  • Complete a monthly summary of the Compass Quality Assurance Program and submit it to relevant personnel.
  • Conduct weekly quality assurance audits in housekeeping and laundry departments, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Review job routines, programs, and systems for housekeeping and laundry to guarantee quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with the Compass Health and Safety program, including training, audits, and first aid protocols.
  • Participate actively in the Health and Safety Committee for the facility.
  • Attend client meetings related to housekeeping and laundry operations.
  • Ensure all staff is trained in and follows infection control programs.
  • Interact with suppliers and vendors concerning housekeeping and laundry services.
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, and performance management of housekeeping and laundry staff.
  • Participate in budgeting and financial management of housekeeping and laundry departments.
  • Ensure compliance with Compass HR programs for staff, including safety protocols and training.
  • Conduct accident investigations and recommend applicable programs for staff.
  • Recommend equipment and supplies necessary for housekeeping and laundry operations.
  • Perform hands-on daily maintenance tasks, including physical building upkeep.
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies related to environmental services.
  • Participate in the completion of the Balanced Scorecard for the unit.
  • Coordinate schedules for environmental special projects.

  • Three years of management experience in healthcare, facilities, environmental services, or related fields.
