Meat Associate

A Meat Stocker is responsible for maintaining a well-organized and visually appealing department, providing excellent customer service, and adhering to the company's values and standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Zoning the department to ensure efficient stock rotation and customer flow.
- Rotating stock and checking for expired products to maintain a fresh and high-quality product offering.
- Ensuring merchandise is properly signed and priced to prevent errors and maintain accuracy.
- Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, food handling, and product rotation to ensure a safe and healthy shopping environment.
- Providing exceptional customer service by taking orders, slicing and preparing merchandise, and offering assistance as needed.
- Following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Preparing deli food orders, meat, cheese, and other items using slicers, stackers, and other utensils to meet customer demands.
- Following Health and Safety guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
The following qualifications are required for this position:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with customers.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
The following qualifications are preferred for this position:
- Previous experience in a retail or food service environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
