Associate - GBM Onboarding Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate to join our GBM Onboarding team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful onboarding of GBM clients, while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and risk management.
Key Responsibilities- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all GBM onboarding activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and bank-driven risk measures.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of Analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure the efficient and compliant onboarding of GBM clients.
- Client Relationships: Foster strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional service to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships.
- AML Subject Matter Expert: Act as an AML subject matter expert to the business and internal stakeholders, providing guidance and support on AML-related matters.
- Data Analytics: Perform ad-hoc, special, and/or focused data analytics as necessary, to support various GBMO projects.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in financial services, with a focus on KYC/AML/ATF.
- Education: University degree in business, finance, law or other relevant field.
- Skills: Proficient with MS Office, with experience in data analytics. Knowledge of current and anticipated regulatory frameworks impacting client onboarding, including Canadian KYC/AML, Dodd Frank, EMIR, MIFID and FATCA.
