About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Team Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct, hands-on care to patients based on their individual needs and program/unit requirements.

Reporting to the Health Services Manager and working under the supervision or direction of regulated health professionals, you will be responsible for supporting patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. You will also reinforce patient and family teaching according to established guidelines and the plan of care.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and skills:

  • Continuing Care Assistant Program certification
  • Provincial Certification with Department of Health and Wellness
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification
  • Effective listening and communication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, part-time (40%) position with 30 hours bi-weekly. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The hourly rate is $25.70.
