Purchasing Team Lead

Thinking big and proactively managing the supply chain in today's market is critical to business survival. We are looking for a Purchasing Team Lead to join our largest sawmill in High Level, Alberta, to make a real business impact.
The ideal candidate is an experienced purchasing professional with qualifications such as APICS, SCMP, CSCP, CPIM, or equivalent, and proven experience maintaining inventory levels in a safety-sensitive 24-hour manufacturing environment. They should also have strong communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, and a good understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), preferably JD Edwards and Coupa.
Responsibilities include analyzing costs, selecting suppliers, and managing supply and service contracts, leading a team to procure parts, materials, and services on time, at the right price, and with the right quality and quantity, and accurately overseeing inventory of materials and operating supplies.
As a trusted partner with the business, they will deliver great customer service, use their working knowledge of the work order system to keep kitting turning over, and engage and manage their team to ensure daily tasks are done efficiently and effectively.
