Capstone is hiring for a Business Analyst. This position is for a one-year term for the Dartmouth, Nova Scotia location.

Following a successful year of engagement with clients, you will be invited to join our team as a full-time, permanent member.

As a Business Analyst:

· You will help uncover business potential by analyzing business processes/systems, identify inefficiencies and required controls, document procedures, and track KPIs.

· You will be part of the architectural team Participate in planning initiatives, feasibility studies, cost/benefit analyses, and new systems design.

· You will document and manage business and functional requirements, collaborating with internal and external customers to elicit business concerns and develop workable solutions.

· You will ensure clarity amid complexity, organizing requirements into related categories to effectively manage and communicate to ensure everyone is in alignment.

· You will provide strategic translation of business requirements into technical requirements to align strategic business objectives with practical technical solutions.

· You will validate with rigor, verifying requirements through analysis, testing, and inspection to ensure functionality, accuracy, and completeness.

· You will champion simplicity and efficiency, always emphasizing ease of use, ensuring smooth implementation and user experience. All while safeguarding business and client needs by verifying the functionality and completeness of requirements.

· You will excel in collaboration, working closely with the QA team to prepare test scenarios and ensure comprehensive testing.

· You will drive continuous improvement by reviewing user stories and acceptance criteria, to push for continuous improvement and refinement.

To do this job, you need:

· A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or similar post-secondary education;

· IIBA Certification is required;

· 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst for business initiatives over:

· large software development or implementation projects,

· business transformation initiatives

· systems or application integration-based projects.

· business modeling;

· Industry Experience: IT, Health, Emergency Services; and

· Bilingual (French/English) would be an asset.
