Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, seeking an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join our Health and Safety team for a 6-month term contract position.
The Health & Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies, conducting risk assessments, providing training to employees, and investigating incidents.
What will you do as a Health and Safety Specialist at Spark Power? Engage with the functional business leaders within the organization as their health and safety resource.
Responsible for occupational health, safety, and injury prevention to ensure compliance with relevant legislation. Conduct site visits to provide HSE guidance, assess risk, inspect and maintain COR certification. Provide coaching to employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and the proper use of safety equipment.Diverse and exciting industrial, commercial and institutional customer base Excellent benefits package with flexible options and wellness spending accounts Continuous training and skills improvement including Spark U and external training certifications A minimum of 3-5 years of related construction or electrical safety work experience.
Knowledge of all applicable Health and Safety Legislation and Regulations and the demonstrated ability to interpret and apply the legislation.
Experience in Health and Safety Policy writing, or technical writing is an asset.
