Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Stock Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by collecting shopping carts from the cart corrals, parking lot, and store perimeter, and returning them to a safe storage location. Ensure that all interactions with customers are friendly, courteous, and professional.
  2. Cart Retrieval: Respond promptly to requests at all registers and safely assist customers with carry outs or carry ins, verifying receipts for proof of purchase.
  3. Facilities Maintenance: Follow established guidelines for occasional cleaning and maintenance of the restrooms, handling chemicals, and following correct disposal procedures. Use power equipment, including inspection report completion before use.
  4. Safety and Emergency Procedures: Adhere to safety and emergency procedures, ensuring that guidelines are being followed properly for hazardous communications, lockout/tagout, and blood-borne pathogens.
  5. Log Maintenance: Maintain the Cart Retrieval Log at the Customer Service Desk.
  6. Work Environment: Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures.
  7. Personal Protective Equipment: Promote safety by wearing personal protective equipment, including steel-toe footwear and the proper reflective vest during cart collection for visibility.
  8. Safety Sweeps: Complete safety sweeps as required.
Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
