The MEP Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Tracking design packages for submission to clients and collaborating with document controllers for timely delivery
  • Communicating delays in the design schedule proactively and finding solutions to mitigate
  • Coordinating with clients' document control teams on design package submission and comments receipt delays
  • Coordinating design review comments between construction and performance teams to ensure closeout of comments in design packages
  • Coordinating constructability and gate reviews, quantity variance in design from bid estimates to relevant designers
  • Collecting information for updating progress reports
  • Coordinating suppliers' information with design teams and ensuring delivery to clients
  • Coordinating with procurement teams for procurement of subcontractors for design input requirements
  • Coordinating design quality aspects with teams and preparing for design quality audits with QA/QC
  • Coordinating Conformance Review Report (CRR) inputs with design leads
  • Collaborating with lessons learnt coordinators for learning moments gathered from past projects
  • Enhancing delivery process of all packages to clients
  • Responding effectively to designers' enquiries/requests to support design process
  • Assisting design teams to proceed on time as planned
  • Developing optimised solutions and reducing scopes for cost minimisation

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in reviewing and handling MEP designs
  • Minimum educational experience: Electrical engineering degree
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets
  • Computer literate with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)
  • Bilingual French/English required
  • Able to lead discussions with partners, clients, and suppliers and interact with senior discipline staff as overall delivery lead
  • Experience with managing vendor relationships, estimation, analysing information, and reporting
  • Demonstrated strong team work ethics and decision-making skills
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Prolonged sedentary positioning
  • Moderate physical activities
