Senior Actuarial Analyst Summary:
Seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to support pricing modelling functions for Canadian operations, with a focus on new business and inforce quoting activities.
Reporting to the Associate Actuary, Pricing Modelling & Analytics, the Senior Actuarial Analyst will work on pricing modelling functions for the Canadian operations of RGA. The candidate will be part of a cross-functional team and provide support to multiple areas, including research, assumption setting, and product development.
Responsibilities:
• Support the modelling of new business and inforce quoting activities
• Review, reconcile, and communicate results to pricing function and business development
• Support special quotes and various internal pricing projects
• Contribute to the work of other areas, including Research and Development, Assumption & Control
• Understand client information, terms, and transaction structure to properly model risks implied
• Participate in the review of work done by peers and provide technical support to other team members
• Ensure guidelines and best practices are applied and adequate risk measures and controls are in place to adhere to pricing standards
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or mathematics
• 2+ years of experience in insurance or reinsurance
• Successful completion of at least four (4) exams from the Society of Actuaries or equivalent credits from the Canadian Institute of Actuaries
• Advanced MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Other specific software: AXIS proficiency is an asset
• Bilingual (spoken and written communication) French and English

• Solid technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Sense of organization, detail-oriented, with ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts
• Great proficiency with computer software and ability to resolve problems
