**Job Description**

We're seeking a reliable candidate for a contract full-time opportunity as an RPAS Safety Pilot. The successful candidate will be highly skilled in drone piloting and be the primary point of contact for any flight safety-related occurrences or issues arising during flight operations.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Coordinate with the Pilot in Command (PIC) and Visual observer during flight operations
• Visually monitor flight of RPAS while in autopilot mode and be prepared to take over manual control if advised by PIC or other safety issue arises
• Assist with the deployment and setup of the RPAS
• Assist with the inspection of the RPAS
• If required, manually fly RPAS to verify proper flight performance

**Minimum Qualifications**

• Transport Canada Small Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS), Visual line-of-sight (VLOS) Pilot Certificate – Advanced operations
• Knowledge of operating procedures and emergency procedures
• Experience flying RC multirotor RPAS in angle flight mode
• Model Aeronautics Association of Canada (MAAC) membership is an asset

**Work Environment and Requirements**

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
• 100% onsite, requiring physical presence at our location
• Valid Class G Driver Licence in good standing and regular access to a personal vehicle required
• Outdoor work, exposure to cold, heat, or other weather elements
• High concentration levels required during flight operations
• The successful candidate must meet the security requirement of the position
