Job Title: Registered Clinical Assistant or Physician Assistant
Department: Radiation Oncology
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Clinical Assistant or Physician Assistant to join our team in providing inpatient and outpatient services. This role will involve rotating between CancerCare Manitoba, Health Sciences Centre, and St. Boniface General Hospital, where you will be responsible for new patient consult services, taking histories and physicals, and involvement in hospitalized patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take patient histories and perform physicals
- Provide inpatient and outpatient care
- Rotate between CancerCare Manitoba, Health Sciences Centre, and St. Boniface General Hospital
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications:
- Eligible for registration as a Clinical Assistant or Physician Assistant with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
- Excellent communication skills in English (oral, written, and listening)
- Organization and problem-solving skills
- Satisfactory employment record
- Ability to legally work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in dealing with complex medical patients and cancer patients
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with ARIA
- Current CPR Certification
- Ability to speak French
