TL/DR:

As we continue our mission, we're looking for you, Country Growth Manager - Canada to join the team to help build the best esports brand in the world. As the Country Growth Manager, you'll be responsible for developing the market in Canada, including market strategy, product, customer acquisition, retention, and payments.
The nitty-gritty:
  • Have overall responsibility for the Canada (Ontario) territory – P&L, building relationships, seeking marketing and partner opportunities, specialist market knowledge with a view of giving feedback to the marketing team.
  • Hiring and training staff to meet growth objectives.
  • Managing staff - You will guide them to execute our strategy to fuel growth even further.
  • Guide expansion into further market expansion while still continuing to drive growth where Rivalry already operates.
  • Responsible for driving engagement and new traffic in-country by defining requirements, content strategies and key features that will increase customer acquisition, with a strong focus on revenue generation and growth.
  • Develop, manage, and execute CRM strategies, together with the CRM team, including customer behavior analysis, segmentation, creation of promotions and message.
  • Oversee development, planning and execution of marketing and promotion activities for the Ontario market.
  • Conduct regular and detailed Research & Audit reports for market, customer, and competitor analysis in-country.
  • Identify and articulate key areas of growth for the company and how we can achieve them.
  • Identify and develop key relationships with 3rd parties in-country to drive new opportunities.
  • Write and support teammates with creative briefs and work with the internal creative team to execute campaigns.
  • Responsible for the local website + app including content and look and feel, ensuring it has local focus (user experience).
  • Advise on relevant local payment solutions for the market.
  • Monitor and report business KPIs to the Management Team.
  • Responsible for brand communication including PR, word-of-mouth and social media strategies and tactics to achieve positive media coverage.
  • Stay informed with the latest changes in the laws and regulations concerning gaming and media landscape and be a subject-matter expert for the company.

Your stats:
  • Experience in the development of direct marketing strategy, creative and implementation processes in the B2C industry.
  • Experience hiring, training, and managing staff.
  • Experience in the esports business is desirable.
  • Experience within the gambling / betting industry is a definite bonus.
  • Experience acquiring customers and growing businesses.
  • Ideally based in Ontario / Canada.
  • Good understanding of online and direct response marketing.
  • Analytical ability and the understanding of profit/loss profiles, creating and reading reports, understanding data and the ability to distinguish between the important and unimportant, strategic development.
