As an IRM Technical Specialist in the Regional Operations Division of the Ministry of Natural Resources, you will lead and support the delivery of regulatory aspects of forestry, fish and wildlife, lands and waters, and aggregate programs.

This role requires a strong background in natural resource management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, client-service focused team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support the delivery of regulatory aspects of MNR's forestry, fish and wildlife, lands and waters, and aggregate programs
  • Ensure public safety and sustainable natural resource management through the delivery of various operational programs
  • Share natural resource management related technical expertise with colleagues and clients
  • Apply risk-based approaches and innovative problem-solving skills to guide the delivery of the Ministry's compliance activities
Requirements:
  • Valid class 'G' driver's licence or equivalent
  • Experience in developing and maintaining positive business relationships
  • Strong client service and service delivery skills
  • Broad base of natural resource management technical expertise
  • Experience conducting regulatory compliance activities using a risk-based approach
