Marine Technician- Fire Alarm Division

As a Marine Technician for our fire alarm division, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding lives and assets at sea. We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our dynamic team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fire alarm and sprinkler systems on marine vessels according to standards;
  • Connecting control panels, detectors, alarms, and other fire protection systems components;
  • Laying out and installing wiring circuits for fire alarm systems;
  • Ensuring proper connections and troubleshooting any wiring issues;
  • Conducting regular testing and inspections of fire alarm and sprinkler systems to ensure functionality;
  • Identifying any issues or malfunctions detected during testing/inspections;
  • Collaborating with other marine professionals to ensure proper integration of fire alarm systems with other ship systems;
  • Ensuring all work complies with maritime regulations, safety standards, and applicable codes.

Required qualifications include:

  • Electrical Red Seal Certification;
  • College diploma in fire protection or building mechanics or civil engineering, or high school diploma and equivalent relevant experience;
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience;
  • In-depth knowledge of marine fire alarm systems and relevant safety regulations;
  • Technical proficiency in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of marine electrical systems, including fire protection equipment;
  • Knowledge of products used in fire protection;
  • Valid driver's license;
  • Ability to work well independently;
  • Strong customer service skills.
