Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace is a global aerospace company with a rich history of innovation and excellence. We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employee & Labour Relations Specialist to join our team in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The successful candidate will provide strategic labor relations advice and support to management, ensuring that we maintain a positive and productive work environment. This includes:

  • Coaching and counselling managers and supervisors on performance management, attendance management, conflict management, and other workplace issues.
  • Providing labor relations advice, guidance, support, and direction to management.
  • Preparing and presenting company positions in the grievance and arbitration process.
  • Managing non-standard work arrangements and requests.
  • Developing and implementing initiatives to support human rights at Magellan, including policy development and investigations.
  • Leading and coordinating activities related to Magellan's Joint Human Rights Committee.
  • Staying up-to-date on trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in human resources and employment law.

Essential Responsibilities

Position Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources.
  • Interest in pursuing accreditation or continuing education courses to support relevant job duties.
  • A minimum of 3 years of ELR experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of industrial/labour relations, communications, and applicable HR legislation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive matters.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management and negotiation skills.
