What You'll Do

  • Collaborate in the definition of the Specsavers technical products and dispensing strategies and implementing the plan, in conjunction with the Supply Chain, Professional and Global Product teams
  • Providing effective support to the Head of Product – Frames in the execution of the CA frame range strategy
  • Define and manage the frames and accessories range performance, maximizing sales and margins through target Product mix, enhancing staff and customer perceptions of the range
  • Define range positioning and differentiation based on customer and consumer insights
  • Diver effective & timely frame range analysis and related outcomes, including forecasting of new products
  • Define and deliver design briefs for local range to add differentiation in market

Position Responsibilities

Product Portfolio Management

  • Effective range management
  • Development of frame strategy to ensure alignment of the portfolio with the Trading strategy and broader business needs
  • Planning and implementation of product launches and discontinuations
  • Ensure quality of the Product is consistent and exceeds stores' expectations
  • Forecasting of new products and management of the product's life cycle

Product Communications & Marketing

  • Collaborate in defining the Product Comms strategy and deliver to the highest standard
  • Liaise with Marketing/PR to ensure consistent and credible communications are issued to external stakeholders (mainly Marketing and PR campaigns)
  • Ensure queries from stores are answered in a timely manner

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Support the Head of Product and the wider team in the timely & effective analysis of sales, creating a good understanding of customer profiles. Create better understanding of the link between effective Range Development, Merchandising and influencing the Product mix/sales
  • Engage with stores/partners/user group members to maximize their input on their range

Ability to work cross functionally with the Professional, Marketing and Retail teams

  • Working with the wider teams to create a calendar of OL & dispensing related initiatives for the year
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong professional relationships with partners and colleagues
  • Proactively demonstrate and encourage team collaboration within the Product, Marketing and Retail teams

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • 5 years experience in a multi site retail Product roles
  • Customer focused and highly organized: genuinely enjoys engaging with different interlocutors at all levels
  • Demonstrated capacity to determine priorities, meet strict deadlines and effectively balance competing demands and the ability to work under pressure both independently and as a member of a team. Great attention to detail
  • Commercial and numerical acumen
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to prepare and present reports and documentation of high quality and integrity and the capacity to deal with a wide range of clients and staff
  • Demonstrated capacity to exercise sound judgment, initiative, diplomacy, tact and discretion and proven ability to handle information, and materials in a confidential and appropriate manner

  • Retail experience within a Optical/Healthcare environment
  • Able to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering innovative Product solutions in a retail environment
  • Able to demonstrate a genuine passion for the Products we sell
