Self Checkout attendant

Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the self-service area is neat, clean, and organized at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with processing transactions through the self-service area.
- Promote company sponsor programs and educate customers on the correct use of self-service options.
- Monitor customer activity and provide assistance when needed.
- Conduct quality checks and interventions in a polite and reassuring manner.
- Respond to EAS alarms and complete the "Failure to Deactivate" Log.
- Notify the Customer Service Manager of low cash or technical issues in the self-service area.
- Return Scan & Go scanners to their designated home after use.
The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $17.55, with opportunities for advancement based on relevant experience.
Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in customer service or retail an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
