Self-Checkout Associate

As a Self-Checkout Attendant at Walmart Canada, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the retail industry and work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring a safe and efficient shopping experience for customers.
- Provide education and support to customers on the use of self-service options, promoting a seamless shopping experience.
- Upsell and promote company-sponsored programs, such as credit card services and charity initiatives, to customers.
- Monitor customer activity and provide assistance when needed, ensuring a positive experience.
- Conduct quality checks and interventions at self-service checkout lanes, explaining the reasons for the intervention while reassuring customers.
- Respond to Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) alarms and complete the necessary documentation.
- Notify the Customer Service Manager when the self-service area is low on cash or experiences technical issues.
- Return Scan & Go scanners to their designated home after use.
To be successful in this role, you will require:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
As a Self-Checkout Attendant at Walmart Canada, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with a competitive rate of pay starting from $17.55. Your rate of pay will be determined based on your relevant experience.
