Accounts Receivable Associate Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Receivable Associate to join our team at Sleeman Breweries Ltd. As an AR Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate collections from customers, while maintaining excellent relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile collections, taking into account customer chargebacks and discrepancies.
  • Perform daily and monthly AR reconciliations and analysis, working closely with Sales, Finance, and Logistics teams to resolve issues.
  • Maximize collections from customers while meeting internal control requirements.
  • Review and analyze financial reporting tools, including COD reports, to identify trends and issues related to late payments and customer deductions.
  • Document customer issues impeding payment and communicate with customers to resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to facilitate resolution of collections activities.
  • Participate in cross-training initiatives and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in business administration, accounting, or finance.
  • Minimum 2 years AR experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, with knowledge of accounting procedures and practices.
  • Reconciliation experience with strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and time management skills.
