Project Manager I's at G3 are responsible for overseeing and managing the technical, functional, and financial execution of one or more simultaneous efforts defined as formal Projects, Programs, Products, or informal work efforts.
The Project Manager has demonstrated technical expertise, a record of successful projects and satisfied clients/sponsors, an ability to understand and articulate customer needs, and a history of taking initiative while working well in an agile team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide Project Management support to the agile scrum Teams within Technology Development and Services.
- Ensure that product road maps are kept evergreen.
- Partner with Finance to monitor, track and control costs across multiple TDS Teams. Prepare and present the monthly OPEX/CAPEX spend report to Management.
- Ensure that internal time reporting and invoices are accurate, and correctly coded against projects.
- Lead the weekly Scrum of Scrum ceremonies across product teams.
- Facilitate the monthly Product Owner Sync meeting with business partners.
- Organize, moderate, and summarize decisions made during the quarterly Agile PI Planning meeting.
- Partner with Product Owners, Product Managers and Scrum Masters to create Project funding requests.
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters and Product Managers to prepare monthly Steering Committee presentations.
- Co-ordinate / facilitate discussions as required for issue resolution.
- Identify interproject dependencies, milestones, and required activities and tasks.
- Provide leadership and motivation team members throughout the product development cycle.
- Monitor project activities, ensuring the quality, and integrity of information, while providing consistency in content and "look and feel" across the organization.
- Ensure that product goals are in line with business objectives.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in computer/Information sciences, mathematics, business/MIS or related field from an accredited college or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years relevant and demonstrated IT project management work, utilizing Agile, SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, or a blending of the above frameworks in complex environments with highly successful outcomes.
- Strong technology underpinnings and project management experiences with workflow automation platforms, ERP systems, financial platforms, ITSM, network, operating system, database, and software development. PMI Certifications helpful but not required.
- Experience with Excel and PowerPoint a must
Other Capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects on a regular basis.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems.
- Ability to grasp technical details of new technologies and the application thereof.
- Ability to manage teams, assign tasks, and keep a focused effort on key deliverables and timelines.
- Basic financial acumen including Capex/Opex, budgeting and forecasting.
- Ability to describe technical project challenges in non-technical ways
