Service Advisor

A Service Advisor role at OpenRoad Honda Richmond involves handling customer inquiries, writing repair orders, and ensuring accurate documentation of customer requests and vehicle data.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Writing repair orders and ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and legibly
- Obtaining customer and vehicle data and documenting all requests and concerns
- Processing paperwork as jobs are completed and reviewing repairs with customers upon delivery
- Assisting with scheduling customer vehicles for service work and monitoring work-in-progress to ensure timely completion
- Using service files to suggest additional repairs or services and estimating costs and completion times
- Identifying and addressing repeat repairs and notifying customers of backorder parts and warranty coverage
- Resolving customer complaints and implementing preventative measures to reduce complaints
- Performing walk-around inspections on customer vehicles and arranging for alternate transportation as needed
- Maintaining paperwork and ensuring the reception area is clean and orderly
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of automotive equipment
- Knowledge of customer satisfaction and retention techniques
- Ability to maintain records and prepare reports using a computerized equipment maintenance system
- Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of the organization
- Ability to communicate effectively and make sound decisions
