We are seeking a seasoned EHS professional to lead our team in mitigating risk and ensuring compliance with our EHS programs and policies. About the Role:

Stericycle is hiring a talented EHS professional to play a pivotal role in preventing and correcting unsafe working conditions and regulatory compliance issues. As the primary EHS contact, you will lead, plan, coordinate, and implement our company's EHS management systems in your respective geographical area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support districts in rolling out safety programs, ensuring they are received and implemented correctly.
  • Deliver training programs, providing materials and validating timely delivery to ensure locations have access to training and can implement it according to the schedule.
  • Develop and implement prevention activities and campaigns to support safety efforts or address specific situations.
  • Monitor the implementation of safety corrective actions, ensuring they are effective and completed.
  • Track monthly safety inspections and safety improvement committee meetings, identifying significant issues for follow-up.
  • Perform quarterly safety and permit compliance inspections, working with district and permit compliance teams to address identified issues.
  • Provide expertise and support to districts with safety-related questions, training delivery, and safety meetings.
  • Conduct job hazard analyses (JHAs) as required, especially when new equipment or processes are implemented.
  • Lead the corporate fleet safety and security teams, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and programs.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in health and safety, a bachelor's degree in a related field, and at least 7 years of experience in the safety field. Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) certification is desirable.
