Job Summary

The Calibration Chemist LTS 05 is responsible for the calibration, maintenance, and repair of laboratory instrumentation under the direction of a supervisor. This includes HPLC, Dissolution Apparatus, Balances, UV/VIS Spectrophotometers, and other analytical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and address potential health and safety hazards in a timely manner, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Adhere to SOPs, GLP, and regulatory requirements to produce accurate and compliant results.
  • Perform cleaning, inspection, and preventative maintenance of laboratory instrumentation, documenting associated activities.
  • Calibrate and qualify laboratory instrumentation, completing documentation.
  • Participate in decommissioning and relocation of lab equipment, documenting activities.
  • Perform basic repairs of laboratory instrumentation using developed skills and techniques.
  • Conduct housekeeping tasks, including chemical inventory, filing, and GMP self-audit with other chemists.
  • Maintain and organize individual/department parts inventory for efficient completion of laboratory instrumentation maintenance and repair.
  • Monitor and report project status to the supervisor/designate in a proactive manner.
  • Document results, calculations, and observations in a compliant fashion.
  • Prepare quantitative and qualitative standards for calibration.
  • Review calibration, maintenance, and qualification data according to SOPs, cGMP, GLP, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Work safely, collaborating as a team member to achieve outcomes.
  • Demonstrate behaviors that exhibit organizational values: Collaboration, Courage, Perseverance, and Passion.
  • Adhere to compliance programs, including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Global Quality policies, and HR policies.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree or College diploma in Chemistry or related field.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proven organization and time management skills, mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and instrument troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in Written and Verbal English communication, knowledge of Excel, Word, and laboratory software packages.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant lab work experience.
