**About Us**

CASSEN Testing Laboratories is a premium and advanced laboratory in chemical analysis with a strong focus on research & studies within Canada. At CASSEN Testing Laboratories, we offer an exciting career in chemical testing for environmental health studies, forensic investigation, occupational exposure determination, pharmaceutical analysis, specialized testing, and contract research. We are currently seeking a **Laboratory Assistant** for a **1 year contract** with an opportunity for extension.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform and assist in sample preparation for analysis.
- Manage sampling media and equipment, which includes ordering media and ensuring adequate media supply is readily available on a regular basis.
- Perform and assist in media management duties including flow checks, calibrations, cleaning, packing and organizing media, etc.
- Safely dispose of old samples and arrange for sample waste collection.
- Carrying out administrative tasks such as log-in of incoming purchase orders, updating inventory, and maintaining lab records.
- Back-up basic customer service duties such as answering phone calls and assisting in sample reception.
- Record environmental conditions of the laboratory.
- Ensure the lab workspace is tidy and well organized.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and follow company policies.
- Assist in other duties as required.

**Qualification and Requirements**:

- Minimum is a College Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Science
- Well organized, meticulous, and highly responsible individuals are desired
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in the English language with strong communication skills is required
- Strict adherence to health and safety protocols
