We're currently looking for a Data Manager to join our operations team

What You'll Do & How You'll Make an Impact

  • Develop and implement data management policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update data governance frameworks to comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Regularly audit and validate datasets to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Implement data update schedules to keep all datasets current.
  • Manage data both onsite and in cloud environments.
  • Oversee cloud-based data storage solutions to meet organizational needs.
  • Facilitate seamless data migration between onsite and cloud environments.
  • Implement access control measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Ensure authorized personnel can easily access data.
  • Work closely with software development teams to meet data requirements.
  • Provide data analysis and visualization support.
  • Collaborate with various teams to understand their data needs.
  • Offer training on data management tools and best practices.
  • Facilitate effective communication and data sharing across departments.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data management, preferably within the O&G industry.
  • Proven experience with GIS data management.
  • Certifications in data management or related fields (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)).
  • Proficient in data management software and tools, including SQL, Oracle, and ArcGIS.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills for identifying trends and solving data-related issues.
  • Proven ability to manage large datasets with high accuracy and integrity.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Experience managing data in both onsite and cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of data accessibility standards and implementation.
  • Proficiency in using data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and support.

Bonus Experience

  • Master's degree in Data Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in the consultancy industry, specifically in emergency response planning.
  • Advanced certifications in GIS (e.g., GISP).
  • Knowledge of public consultation processes and requirements.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data storage and management solutions.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and integration.
  • Understanding of the Emergency Response Planning industry and the services offered by the company
